At El Paso Concealed Carry, we can get you certified through our License to Carry (LTC) Training program. It is extremely important to have professional training so that you can confidently and safely handle a firearm. Texas has reciprocity, meaning that any citizen of the state can obtain the Texas License to Carry to legally carry a firearm, wherever they are! Most people need to complete a course out on the gun range, but the following personnel are exempt from range qualification and only need to complete the online training course to receive their Texas license to carry:
 
Currently serving in or is honorably discharged from:

  • U.S. Army
  • U.S. Navy
  • U.S. Air Force
  • U.S. Coast Guard
  • U.S. Marine Corps
  • U.S. Military Reserve Unit of one of above mentioned branches of the Armed Forces
  • Texas State Correctional Officers
  • Duly Sworn Law Enforcement Officers

In order to qualify for online class certification and prior to application, you must first provide evidence of handgun proficiency (within a 10-year period). You can demonstrate your proficiency and become exempt personnel by showing us whatever form/manner is required by your department, such as a range card or range memorandum. Anyone that does not meet the range qualification exemptions listed above must coordinate with a certified Texas LTC Instructor for the range qualification to complete their LTC qualification to be eligible for the Texas License to Carry.
